After going online in 2021, the city’s longest-running celebration of Black music, dance, poetry, theater, and visual art will return live, with a theme of “Black Health & Wellness.” Meet this year's Featured Artists and see the schedule of events.
Celebrate Black culture through art, music, and food at the free, family-friendly Melanin in May Festival featuring more than 100 vendors. An art exhibition will feature a dozen artists whose work pushes the boundaries of the African-American experience.
Get up-close with significant documents that shaped American life and culture, including a 1350 edition of the Magna Carta, a rare printing of the Declaration of Independence, and a rare edition of the U.S. Constitution.
These 71 featured organizations are supported by the City of Indianapolis Annual Grants Program administered by the Arts Council. More listings will be added as this website grows.
